Customer Service Hall of Shame

By Douglas A. McIntyre, Alexander Kent, Alexander E.M. Hess, Thomas C. Frohlich and Ashley C. Allen

When it comes to companies we dread dealing with, we all know who they are. Let’s put it this way, would you rather go to the Apple Genius Bar to fix something with your iPhone or to the Bank of America teller to reverse a surprise interest charge?

It’s perhaps no wonder Bank of America leads the nation in bad customer service. The massive U.S. financial institution has made the Customer Service Hall of Shame every year since 2009.

I feel no remorse for the company’s swift action as we represent a diverse culture and her comments were unwarranted and hurtful.  I am sorry to hear you took the action you did and hope you find a bank that helps with your financial needs.

  1. This bank screw me with a complaint dispute charge and helped the seller and not me. I lost money and they didn't car a bit.
American Express Would Never Do This To It's Customers it was my mistake to use the BOA card and not the American Express I did not have it on hand but this taught me a lesson I would not use the BOA card again.

  8. I put a $14,962.50 charge on my card as a deposit for renovation being done on my house. Then, several days later, I paid my card bill. With absolutely no notification to either me or my contractor, and no complaint being filed by anyone, Bank of America flagged the charge and sent it to the fraud department (where the phones are almost never answered no matter how many times you call). Ten days into the issue, my contractor was finally told there was a problem with the charge. He, by the way, is also a Bank of America customer. After providing the fraud department with a copy of the signed contract, they took several more days to notify him that they refuse to fund the charge. Keep in mind...I’ve already paid the bill. At this point I have still not been notified that there is a problem. When my builder tell me what is going on, I then spend several days trying to get the charge cleared without success. The end result is that Bank of America will now be holding my $14,962.50 for the next 90 days while they “process my complaint” which is the only way I can recover my money. This has just got to be illegal and just wrong in every way.

I was so overwhelmed  when I saw  my cell phone pop up with bank alert, I smiled because I knew my brokenness and problems are over..Stand up on your feet and be strong, just  contact Mr Lorenzo Diego >mrlorenzodiegoloanfirm@outlook.com. You may be lucky like me and get an end to your bankruptcy and  problems.

  10. For anyone having trouble with BOA on PPP loan forgiveness, please fight them, and follow this blog. https://natashanews18.blogspot.com/2021/07/bank-of-america-ppp-fraud.html

BOA is attempting to PROFIT in millions of dollars for not forgiving loans in full as loaned. They are "blaming" their customers and changing loan amounts. When you object, in my case, they took the loan OUT of FORGIVENESS and lowered it to 0 without the legal ability to do so. They have questionable sanity in some of their staff that is doing this. File an ethics complaint with the bank and the SBA. And use these emails to fight them. Write to me if you need any help - on my blog.
